Terms & Conditions
Last updated: 30 August 2026
payed.me is provided by Invatechs Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (company number 13176452), registered office Blue Tower, MediaCityUK, Salford Quays, Salford, England, M50 2ST. VAT GB 404 006 849. In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Invatechs Ltd.
1. Agreement
These Terms govern your use of payed.me. By creating an account you accept them. If you are accepting on behalf of a business, you confirm you are authorised to bind it, and "you" means that business.
2. Who may use payed.me
payed.me is a business tool, offered for use in a trade, business or profession rather than as a consumer service. You must be at least 16 and able to enter into a contract. You may not use it if we have previously closed your account.
3. Your account
Keep your password confidential, and tell us promptly at support@payed.me if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for what happens under your account, including anything done by people you invite to your team.
You may invite colleagues subject to the seat limit of your plan, and you remain responsible for their use of the service.
4. Plans and payment
payed.me offers a Free plan and paid plans. The current prices and the limits of each plan — invoices, clients, team seats and templates — are those published on our pricing page.
- Billing. Paid plans are billed monthly in advance through Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.
- Renewal. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.
- Cancelling. Cancel at any time from your billing settings. Your plan runs to the end of the period you have paid for and is not renewed.
- Refunds. We do not refund part-months.
- Price changes. We will give at least 30 days' notice before a price change takes effect, and you may cancel before it does.
- Downgrades. If you move to a plan whose limits are below your current usage, we will not delete anything, but features above the new limit stop being available.
- Taxes. Where VAT or an equivalent tax applies to your purchase, it is charged in addition to the price shown and identified separately on your receipt.
5. Your content
You own everything you put into payed.me — your customers, invoices, quotes, documents and attachments. We claim no ownership of it.
You grant us only the permission needed to run the service: to store your content, process it, render it into PDFs, and send it by email where you ask us to. That permission ends when you delete the content or close your account, subject to the retention described in our Privacy Policy.
You are responsible for your content being lawful and accurate — including that you have the right to hold your clients' details, and that what your invoices say is correct.
6. Sending email through payed.me
When you send an invoice, quote, receipt or reminder, we send it on your behalf from our own sending domain, with replies directed to you.
You must not use this to send unsolicited bulk email, and you must comply with applicable marketing and anti-spam law. We may suspend sending — without suspending the rest of your account — if it puts our sending reputation at risk, because that would affect whether every other user's invoices arrive.
Automatic payment reminders run only for clients you have switched them on for.
7. Not financial, tax or legal advice
payed.me helps you produce and manage business documents. It is not an accountant, a tax adviser or a lawyer. Totals, tax calculations and the format of your documents remain your responsibility, and you should check them against your own obligations. We are not liable for tax filed, or not filed, on the basis of what the software shows.
8. The AI assistant
The assistant is optional. Where it is available on your plan:
- It can draft, and it can act — but only after you confirm.Anything that creates, changes or deletes a record is proposed to you first and happens only when you confirm that specific action.
- You must check what it produces. Language models can be wrong, including about figures. A confirmation is your decision and you are responsible for the result — read a drafted invoice before it goes out.
- Fair use. Assistant use is rate-limited and subject to a monthly allowance. We may adjust these limits, or suspend the feature for an account using it abusively or automatically.
- We may change or withdraw it. It depends on third-party model providers and is not part of the core invoicing service.
How the assistant handles data, and who receives it, is set out in our Privacy Policy.
9. Acceptable use
Do not: break the law; infringe anyone's rights; upload malware; attempt to gain unauthorised access to the service or another user's data; probe, scrape or overload it; resell it without our agreement; or use it to invoice for fraudulent or deceptive purposes.
We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where it is reasonable to do so, we will warn you first.
10. Availability, and what we do not promise
We work to keep payed.me available but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. Maintenance, third-party failures and faults happen. We do not offer a service level agreement on any plan, including paid plans.
Except as these Terms expressly state, and to the extent the law allows, the service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind.
Keep your own records. Your invoices are your business records, and you can export or print them at any time. Please do not rely on payed.me as your only copy.
11. Liability
Nothing in these Terms excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, for fraud, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Subject to that, we are not liable for lost profits, lost business, lost goodwill, or indirect or consequential loss; and our total liability in any twelve-month period is limited to the amount you paid us in that period.
12. Suspension and termination
By you: close your account at any time from your account settings.
By us: we may suspend or close your account if you materially breach these Terms, if payment fails, or if we must do so by law. Except where the breach is serious or we are required to act immediately, we will give you notice and a chance to put it right.
On termination your access ends. You may export your data before closing your account, and we recommend that you do. Afterwards we handle it as our Privacy Policy describes.
If we discontinue the service we will give at least 90 days' notice so you can export your records.
13. Data protection
Our handling of your own account data is described in our Privacy Policy.
For the information you load about your own clients, you are the controller and we act as your processor. The terms governing that — what we may do with it, security, sub-processors, deletion, and assistance with data-subject requests — are set out in our Data Processing Agreement, which is incorporated into these Terms and takes effect when you create an account. Nothing needs to be signed separately.
14. Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms. For changes that materially affect your rights we will give at least 30 days' notice by email or in the app. Continuing to use payed.me after they take effect means you accept them; if you do not, you may cancel.
15. General
If a provision is unenforceable, the rest stands. Not enforcing something is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer your rights without our consent; we may transfer ours on notice, for example on a sale of the business. These Terms, the Privacy Policy and the Data Processing Agreement are the whole agreement between us.
16. Governing law
These Terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have exclusive jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory protections available to you where you live.
